To use Clash on Android, install a client, add a proxy profile, and start its connection service. This guide uses Clash Meta for Android, which supports Mihomo-compatible profiles and lets you choose the proxy route for your phone's traffic.
Download Clash Meta for Android
Open the Clash Meta for Android releases. Choose the APK that matches your device architecture, download it, and install it. Use an arm64-v8a build for a compatible 64-bit ARM phone, armeabi-v7a for a compatible 32-bit ARM device, or x86_64 for an x86-64 device or emulator when that build is offered. If you are unsure, use a universal build when the release provides one, or check the device specifications before downloading. Android may ask you to allow installation from the browser or file manager used to open the APK.
File | What it does |
|---|---|
APK | Installs the Android client. Choose the build for your device. |
YAML profile | Defines the upstream proxies, selection groups, and routing rules. |
Subscription URL | Gives the client a source from which to download a profile. |
Prepare a profile for your Android device
Use your MIYAIP connection details to create a local profile. Keep the server and authentication fields exactly as supplied.
Connection detail | Profile field |
|---|---|
HTTP or SOCKS5 protocol |
|
Server hostname or IP |
|
Connection port |
|
Account username |
|
Account password |
|
Open the converter
Open the Proxy Format Converter.
Preserve the endpoint protocol
Paste your proxy entry. If it has no protocol scheme, select the matching protocol in Protocol for input without a scheme.
Generate Clash YAML
Select Clash / Mihomo YAML and convert the entry.
Save the profile on your phone
Choose Export file, confirm credential inclusion when prompted, and save
miyaip.yamlon the phone or transfer it to the phone for import.
If you already have a compatible subscription URL, import it directly in the client. The static proxy configuration guide also shows how to build the YAML manually.

Import your profile and start Clash for Android
Add a profile
Open the profile list in Clash Meta for Android and add a profile from a file or URL.
Choose the file or URL
For a file, select
miyaip.yaml. For a URL, enter the subscription address and download its profile.Activate the profile and node
Activate the profile, open the proxy selection screen, and choose your MIYAIP node in the group used by your rules. The converter's group is named MiyaIP Proxy.
Grant Android VPN permission
Start the client and accept Android's VPN connection request. This permission lets the app route traffic through its local tunnel.
Verify the running connection
Confirm that the client shows a running connection, then open a fresh request in your browser.
If you use per-app routing, include the browser or application you want to test. Check that selection whenever one app behaves differently from the rest of the phone.

The APK installs the client; an active profile, Android VPN permission and app routing are separate parts of the connection.
Verify the exit IP on Wi-Fi and mobile data
Open What Is My IP in the routed browser and compare its result with your expected proxy exit. In the client, check that the same request used the intended rule and proxy node.
If you plan to switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, repeat the test on each network. When the proxy uses source-IP authorization, update the authorized source IP after a network change. With username and password authentication, check the credentials and endpoint if the connection fails.
Fix common Android setup problems
Problem | What to check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
The APK will not install | Device architecture and Android compatibility | Choose the matching package from the project releases. |
The profile imports but has no usable nodes | Profile contents and active selection | Regenerate a complete profile and select it in the client. |
No traffic reaches the proxy | Running status and Android VPN permission | Start the connection and approve the system request. |
The browser works but one app does not | Per-app routing and matched policy | Include the app and check which proxy group its request uses. |
The connection stops in the background | Android battery and background restrictions | Allow the client to run in the background, then repeat the test with the screen locked. |
Only mobile data fails | Source-IP authorization and endpoint reachability | Update the authorization if required and test the endpoint on that network. |
Frequently asked questions
Which app does this Clash for Android guide use?
It uses Clash Meta for Android from the MetaCubeX project. The download button goes to that project's releases so you can choose a package for your device.
Is Clash Verge available as an Android APK?
Clash Verge Rev is a desktop client for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Use an Android client such as Clash Meta for Android on your phone. A compatible base profile can be imported into both clients, while each app keeps its own interface settings.
Why does Android show a VPN permission request?
The app uses Android's VPN interface to capture and route traffic. The proxy endpoint still comes from your profile. Start the client and approve the request to activate that route.
Can I use one MIYAIP proxy on my phone and computer?
You can configure the same endpoint in compatible clients. Check your plan's connection limits and authentication settings before running both at once. Each device needs its own active profile and routing setup.
Add a residential proxy to your Android setup
Choose a MIYAIP static residential plan, generate a Clash profile from its connection details, and import it into your Android client.
