A Decodo (Smartproxy) Alternative for Proxy Workflows

Smartproxy is now Decodo. If you are considering a different provider, start with your proxy requirements: rotating or fixed IPs, locations, session controls, and the tools you already run.

Find the workflow that fits
  1. Recognize the current Decodo brand

  2. Separate proxy access from API tasks

  3. Map your current configuration

  4. Price the matching workload

Smartproxy Is Now Decodo

Decodo is the current name of Smartproxy. The rebrand itself does not mean you need a different provider. This comparison is for teams considering MiyaIP because their requirements, budget, or preferred workflow have changed.

Smartproxy → Decodo. Official announcement checked on 2026-09-26. Both names refer to the same provider in this comparison.

Keep Your Crawler or Choose a Managed Task

If you already run a crawler or browser client, compare proxy access first. If you use a managed scraping API, compare its request and output contract with MiyaIP Crawler API. Switching the network layer is a different project from changing how data is collected.

I run my own client

Keep your application responsible for parsing and orchestration; compare the network access it needs.

  • Rotating residential
  • Static ISP
  • Datacenter access

I use a scraping API

Evaluate a Decodo alternative by mapping one task to the MiyaIP interface and result contract.

  • Interface and accepted inputs
  • Task execution and retrieval
  • Required output fields

Map the Settings Your Workflow Depends On

Record the current endpoint, authentication format, target location, and session settings. Recreate the required behavior using MiyaIP’s available configuration options. Keep the current provider available while you test the new route with the same client and targets.

Migration behavior worksheet; setting names are not assumed to match. Evaluation fields only; no measured results. See the dated provider and MiyaIP sources below.

Price the Workload You Will Run

Compare the amount of traffic or the number of fixed IPs your team actually needs. Include the purchase period and any plan limits. If you are moving to Crawler API, price a supported task separately instead of converting proxy gigabytes into API credits.

Record traffic or fixed-IP quantity, purchase period and plan limits.

Crawler task

Record a supported interface, accepted results, credits and plan commitment separately.

Frequently asked questions

Are Smartproxy and Decodo different providers?

No. Decodo is the new name of Smartproxy. We cover both names on this page so you can compare the current provider without treating the rebrand as a second service.

Do I need to switch because Smartproxy changed its name?

No. Decodo’s official announcement says the services continued under the new brand. Consider another provider based on your current requirements, not the name change alone.

Can I reuse my existing proxy client?

Check whether it accepts the protocol and credentials generated for your MiyaIP product. Connection settings can be evaluated independently, but provider-specific API calls and session parameters still need review.

Can MiyaIP replace Decodo’s scraping API?

Evaluate a specific task against MiyaIP’s current interface catalog and result format. Proxy compatibility by itself does not establish scraping API compatibility.

Sources and scope of this comparison

This guide uses provider documentation and MiyaIP public product information. The diagrams and checklists describe an evaluation method, not a measured migration result.

Check current product terms and the selected interface before moving traffic. Competitor names identify their respective products and do not imply affiliation.
